Home 4 Avoid Damage to Low aspect Tyres

Tyre manufacturers offer a great variety of tyres for use on vehicles. The use of tyres and / or wheels that have not been approved for your vehicle by tyrestore can be detrimental to vehicle safety. Your vehicle may be equipped with specially designed, low aspect ratio, ultra high performance tyres that enhance the handling, steering accuracy, braking, and all round performance of the vehicle under a variety of driving conditions. If your vehicle is equipped with Ultra high performance low aspect tyres***, please make sure that the below mentioned points are read carefully

*** What are ultra high performance low aspect tyres?? Ultra high performance low aspect tyres are tyres with an aspect ratio of 60 or less and are speed rated higher than 210 km/ hr (H – Rated). The aspect ratio is calculated by relating the nominal section height of the tyre projecting beyond the rim to the nominal section width of the tyre and is expressed as a percentage. For example, a tyre with a height of 54mm and a tread width of 120 mm is rated at 45.

Always maintain the inflation pressure of your tyres as suggested by the vehicle manufacturer or after consulting a tyre professional.

Always check the tyre pressures at least at 15 day intervals or at more frequent intervals.

Get your tyres inspected regularly by a tyre professional or when ever you leave your car for service. Remember DAMAGE TO TYRES IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO SEE OR SPOT.

Avoid driving on roads with potholes, deep gouges or ridges. The impact from driving over such obstacles can damage your tyres. If you do decide to drive over these roads, please get your tyres inspected by a tyre professional.

If the tyre has been damaged, replace it as soon as possible. Do not attempt to repair a low aspect tyre. Tyre damage can cause tyre failure and loss of vehicle control.

We at tyrestore hope that the above information that has been provided about Ultra high performance low aspect tyres will help you to enjoy driving your vehicle.
